How Adopt-a-Pet.com Helps Doberman Dogs Find Loving Homes

By Adopt-a-Pet.com

So, you’re looking for Doberman dogs for sale, huh? Great idea! Want to hear an even better idea? Rescue a Doberman dog. There are thousands of Doberman dogs at shelters are in need of a home, many pet-owners-to-be don’t think about adoption when they’re looking for a Doberman dog for sale. Continually, the case is that many people simply are not aware of how many great dogs are available at shelters. They might also have the misguidance that Doberman dogs in shelters have something wrong with them, opposed to Doberman dogs for sale in newspaper ads and in pet stores. In fact, most Doberman dogs for adoption end up in shelters not because of any problem with behavior, but because an owner died, moved, or simply didn't have the time or financial resources to care for the animal. In some cases animals are lost and never found by their owners. These Doberman dogs are healthy and very eager to please.

Rescued Dobermans are wonderful- just ask anyone who has one, or read a few of the personality descriptions of adoptable Doberman dogs below. Doberman Pinschers are continually domesticated by humans because in the late 19th century a German policeman used them as guard dog to accompany him on his nightly rounds. Doberman Pinschers are most often black, red, blue, or fawn. They can grow to be 24-28 inches tall at the shoulder, and weigh up to 90 lbs. Of course, there are thousands of wonderful Doberman mixes available for adoption, and they come in all sorts of beautiful shapes and sizes! Doberman dogs are very noble, loyal and affectionate with the family. Dobermans like to be physically close to the family members so they can watch over them. These are people-oriented dogs, and should not be kept in the backyard alone all day. Although the Dobermans sometimes are known as an aggressive dog, this is actually not the case. In fact, Doberman Pinschers and Doberman mixes can make excellent therapy dogs due to their gentle and sensitive nature. Doberman puppy / dogs mixes have all of the good traits of a purebred Doberman dogs for sale, and often lack the genetic health issues due to inbreeding. Best of all, when you adopt a Doberman mix, you adopt a one-of-a-kind companion. Nobody else will have a "Dobernese Mountain Pinscher" or a "Labradobe" quite like yours!

Here are the personality descriptions of three Doberman dogs who are (or where) listed at Adopt-a-Pet.com. Meet Joey, I lived my whole life chained inside a pen until Dogs Deserve Better found me. My pen was on top of a mountain in the woods. I was pretty scard most of the time even though I had lots of Doberman brothers and sisters chained with me. We were all scared. We didn't get to eat a whole lot and we were all alone. No humans lived where we lived. I love to sit on the couch and watch TV with my foster mommy and my doggie friends. She gives me lots of hugs and kisses and tells me the bad stuff is over now. The best part is I am growing much healthier as I get to eat every day! My caregivers have found I get along really well with all humans, dogs and other Doberman dogs.

Meet Sasha who is a Doberman dog for sale with an adoption fee of $250 from the Homeless Animal Rescue Team. Several years ago Sasha’s name was Darla, but because her owner lost her home, Sasha has found her way back to HART. She is house-trained, dog-friendly and adapts easily to new environments. Sasha also likes to laugh when she is a happy Doberman dog. In fact, Sasha is just looking for someone who will love her and care for her. She loves belly rubs, scratches behind the ears and taking walks. And don't let her age fool you, she still has the energy to play if you do. She does well in homes with other dogs and does well without a crate for long periods, like when someone is at work. Sasha clearly still has a lot to offer and just needs someone who can overlook her age and who will give her the chance to prove how great she is.

Meet Maggie who is a middle aged Doberman lady looking for a quiet home. I get a little nervous when there is a lot of noise so I would prefer a quieter home. I was rescued from a rural shelter. My foster mom says I walk well on a leash and I like other dogs as long as they are not too hyper. I sometimes play with my foster sisters Grace and Eloise (also Doberman dogs) for awhile but they are not real loud and rough. I love lying in the air conditioning on hot days. I listen to commands very well and want to make my caregivers happy.
