Below is a brief overview of the type of needs a Guinea Pig might require and what you will need to consider for the life time care of a Guinea Pig.

First most, understand that no matter what, even if you buy a Guinea Pig for sale, or adopt, as a new pet owner it is your responsibility to care for the Guinea Pig it’s entire lifespan. Part of that responsibility is taking time to understand the basic needs of a Guinea Pig. At the top of that list should be getting know the diet of a Guinea Pig. Find out how often and what a Guinea Pig needs to eat. Next, what shelter do you need to provide? Get to know what habitat a Guinea Pig is accustom to, what temperature will the Guinea Pig need to maintain, and what range of temperatures are acceptable for a Guinea Pig to survive.

It’s usually a good idea to get to know a little more about Guinea Pig habits, temperament and relationship with humans before adopting a Guinea Pig. For example, can you handle a Guinea Pig. What is an indicator if a Guinea Pig is being aggressive and senses fear? So you’re looking to adopt a guinea pig? We’re glad you’ve come to the right place to find out about guinea pig adoptions. Here are the personality descriptions of three guinea pigs for adoption that were once were listed at our website. Meet, Lucy who is part of a bonded pair of guinea pigs for adoption. Lucy is a smooth haired guinea pig, with a dark "salt and pepper" coloring. She is just over a year old, so she is still young. Although she is not quite as outgoing, she makes up for it being a very sweet guinea pig.

Meet Marcy, an adorable guinea pig for adoption, who is about 9 months old. She was found abandoned in a park, hiding under a bush, along with several other guinea pigs. She is lucky to be alive as they rarely survive long outdoors on their own. She is still a little scared and still needs to learn that not all people are bad. She is getting accommodated to her new life, and is coming along which includes socializing well with our staff.

Hello, we are Tom, and Eddie. We are two male guinea pigs for adoption that came from a breeder trying to mix breeds. Our guinea pig breeder put an ad up that she would let us go into the wild if someone didn't save us. Well a nice woman, who already had 4 guinea pigs came and bought us home. As we reached 7 months, the nice woman that saved us, began having family issues, and made a heartbreaking choice to bring us to a guinea pig rescue. This Rescue is a great temporary home, we get lots of veggies, and all the hay and pellets we can eat, but we really need some one on one time, and a family to call our own. We have longer hair, so we require more grooming, and since we have lived in a lot of places, we are not very trusting right now. We need a home that will work with us and make us the great guinea pig pets we know we can be!

We want to spread the word!
