Humane Society of Barbour County

We are the Humane Society of Barbour County, Alabama (HSBC). We are located in Southeast Alabama. HSBC was founded in 1994 by Hank & Joy Bryan of Eufaula, AL.
Joy Bryan believed it is our responsibility to help those who cannot help themselves. We strive daily to do just that by the way we care for the dogs and cats of Barbour County.

Our shelter manager, Tara Polli, is dedicated to making HSBC the leading animal welfare resource in Barbour County. She ensures our shelter follows the animal sheltering guidelines while focusing on finding loving homes for our sheltered pets. She is able to do this with the support of her team Haley Holmes, Canine Specialist, and Mellissa Howard, Feline Specialist.
