Mainly Marshall and DeKalb counties in North Alabama.

2nd Chance Shelter's Adoption Process

Our adoption fee is $40.00. We do not allow dogs adopted from us to be chained or tethered. All dogs are spayed/neutered and up to date on shots before leaving the shelter. If a puppy is too young to be spayed or neutered, we have a spay/neuter contract an adopter is required to sign.

We are a no-kill, non profit shelter located in DeKalb county Alabama. Our mission is to find loving, lasting homes for dogs in the surrounding areas.

Our address is 130 County Road 398, Boaz AL. Potential adopters can visit our shelter during operating hours to adopt a pet.
SHELTER HOURS
Monday,Tuesday,Thursday,Friday, & Saturday 9am-4pm.
Closed Wednesday & Sunday
We also partner with our local Petsmart and have many adoption events there throughout the year. We attend various festivals and events in our area with adoptable dogs.
