Step 8: take the pet home

All our pets are adopted on a ‘one month foster to adopt probation’ basis. Should the foster-to-adopt family feel the pet is not the right fit, we will take them back into our rescue. Should we, however feel the same about the fostering /adoptive home, we reserve the right to do the same, all to ensure the pets’ happiness and safety.

About Furry Family Animal Rescue

Official facebook page for Furry Family Animal Rescue (FFAR), whose goal is to help dogs and cats of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. We help to rescue and rehome dogs and cats indiscriminately of their current geographical location.
Our hearts lie in pulling those on ‘death rows’, flying others from countries that have deemed them un-adoptable due to their size, age or colour of their fur or simply helping a local pet owner re-home their pet due to various circumstances.

Come Meet Furry Family Animal Rescue's Pets

Most often our fostering families meet with the potential adopters at local parks or their homes.
We always look forward to ‘meet and greets’ to ensure the right fit.
In preparation for the meet and greet, ensure you are calm, relaxed and have a pocket filled with yummy, natural treats ( always check with the foster parent prior to feeding any pet treats that could potentially cause upset tummy).
Most importantly remember that while some dogs are just happy-go-lucky goofballs, others take a bit to trust, thus you might not see their true personalities immediately. Give it time, ask lots of questions and remember: rescued pets make most loyal, devoted and loving pets.
