Submit Application
To begin, please complete our adoption application. A volunteer will review your information and contact you within a few days.

Meet the Pet
This is the fun part! During your meet-n-greet, you will have an chance to ask questions and spend quality time getting to know each other.
3.
Interview
Next steps include a brief interview and home visit to ensure we are making the best match for each dog and family.
4.
Sign Adoption Contract
Lastly, we will review and have you sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee of $180.

We ask prospective families to carefully consider the requirements and commitments of adopting a dog before you begin the adoption process. Dogs are family and need a lifetime of love.
The following requirements will need to be met in order to move forward with adopting from Rise and Shine Pit Bull Rescue:
• At this time we are adopting to adopters who live within an 1.5 hour radius of Lillington, NC
• We expect all of our dogs to be inside dogs – in a home environment
• No HOA or rental restrictions
• We will conduct a home visit and contact references
• Be able to provide any necessary training and vet care when necessary
• Understand the need for decompression and proper introductions with other animals
• Lots and lots of LOVE

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
