Potential adopters may submit applications sight unseen via social media or at adoption events where they meet the available dogs.

Approve Application
Once the application is approved the potential adopter is contacted by a Happier Tails representative to set up a home check.

Home Check
A home check is a quick 15-20 minute inspection of the home to look for potential safety issues for the new pet.

Sign Adoption Contract
In order to complete the adoption, for the safety of HTR & the adopters, all adopters must sign a legally binding contract.
5.
Pay Fee
HTR fees are based on the age of the pet. Within each age category there is a donation range that the adopter is required to pay.
6.
Take the Pet Home
Yay! Congrats on your new family member. At this time the adopter will be provided all medical documents and the microchip is transferred.
