THE ADOPTION PROCESS AT REAL TIME RESCUE IS RELATIVELY SIMPLE. WE REQUIRE AN APPLICATION AND A HOME VISIT BY ONE OF OUR DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS
The team at Real Time Rescue reviews all adoption and foster applications. If approved, we will notify you in writing
We need all family members to be available for the home visit of any potential adopter or foster.
Upon approval, We will then coordinate a time for you to meet the dog.
Real Time Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3), volunteer based, animal welfare organization dedicated to liberating homeless and unwanted dogs who have been deserted through no fault of their own. Their reasons for abandonment may include, but are not limited to, behavioral issues, medical needs, financial and housing burdens, or general prejudice. In working with a network of volunteer advocates, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, trusted dog handlers, and cooperative shelters; RTR persistently increases the number of lives saved from euthanasia each year while remaining transparent with our supporters.
We provide every dog in our rescue with all needed veterinary care, including but not limited to, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations and procedures/prescriptions determined on an individual basis. RTR offers temporary housing through foster care to its healing dogs while advocating for their permanent placement in safe and secure homes. We also provide long-term sanctuary to a limited number of animals with extreme behavioral and/or medical needs.
RTR additionally serves as a resource to the Los Angeles and Morongo Basin communities through education on pet ownership, the benefits of spay/neuter, scientifically sound human/dog relationship teachings, proper nutrition, and veterinary care. As an organization, we work alongside unified shelters, supporting them with their more challenging dogs, to encourage that every dog has an equal opportunity to find a home or foster.
We believe that all dogs are inherently good and continue to work towards the day when no companion animal is euthanized for lack of a home.
Transparently, we are integrity in action.
