About Kayla's Kitties

My mission is to rescue as many lost and stray cats and kittens as I can. To do that, I need help from the community who also want to see a change. I understand that stray cats can be a menace to a neighborhood, so it would be a wonderful thing if we could come together to create the same outcome: getting rid of the madness. Whether it’s trapping, monetary or supply donations, or even fostering, every little thing helps.

Below are some ways that you can help. If you or someone you know is interested in helping end (or at least diminish) the stray cat population, please contact me.

~Become a foster! (ask for an application)
~Adopt! (ask for an application)

Rescues take in a lot of animals every month, and these animals need lots of care. Any kind of donation will always been highly appreciated and accepted. Here are some things that my cat rescue desperately needs:

~Blankets, towels, bedding, pee pads, etc.
~Litter pans, scoopers, and litter
~Food (adult and kitten, Purina Brand, dry/wet/formula)
~Dawn dish soap and baby wipes

And of course, if anyone would like to make financial donations, cash and checks are accepted and can be mailed to 236 Wilson St., Newark, OH., 43055. The primary veterinarian for the rescue is Feeder Creek located at 12575 Lancaster St., NE, Millersport, OH., 43046, and their phone number is (740) 467-2949 (donations may be called in).

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Newark, OH.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
