Golden Retriever Rescue of Iowa (GRRoIowa) is a rescue focusing on Golden Retrievers, Goldendoodles, Golden mixes and at times, honorary Goldens. With many years of rescue experience, we have formed a team of passionate, organized and dedicated volunteers.

All donations ever received will go towards the dogs – we will never have paid positions.

We want to find the best possible home for our dogs. We have a thorough process. After the home visit and the volunteer submits their notes, we approve or deny.
If it is approved, the applicant's application will be forwarded to fosters to review. If they are selected, meet and greets take place to determine if it is a good fit. If so, both foster/applicant determine if they want to move forward.
