1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
Go to the Petco Warrenton during business hours to visit our resident kittens. Kittens are changed out at least every three weeks.
2.
Submit Application
Complete the application in the Petco Store and the application online at https://www.shadyspaw.org/adopt.
3.
Interview
We will contact you, your references, and your vet then send you a tentative approval email to set up your virtual home visit.
4.
Home Check
Attend your virtual home visit where we will let you know if there are any dangers in your home or things that you should consider changing.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
You will receive a link via email or cell phone to complete the adoption contract and pay the fee - $125 per kitten.
6.
Take the Pet Home
Once your fee is paid, you can head back to the Petco in Warrenton to pick up your new kitten!

For kittens and cats who are not housed in the Warrenton Petco, simply apply online, get the home visit, then set up a meet and greet or attend one of our many adoption events to find your new best friend. Once you decide, you complete the adoption contract, pay the fee, and take them home.

You can volunteer as little as once a week or once a month! It takes less than an hour of your morning to set up the kittens to meet their new potential families.
Our goal is to find these kittens loving homes for the rest of their lives where they can live happily ever after.
