Humane Society of Manatee County

Who We Are

We are a no-kill shelter funded strictly on donations and grants. Our dogs have indoor and outdoor kennels along with a small play area attatched to the building and another off leash area where they can romp with their playmates and volunteers.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Humane Society of Manatee County is to create a "No-Kill Community" where animals receive the compassion and respect they deserve

Our ongoing mission is to help all the animals in Manatee County by:

Reducing the pet over-population problem by providing several different spay/neuter programs..

Sheltering homeless animals until a "forever home" is found. There is no time limit on the animals that are waiting to be adopted at our shelter. They stay either at the shelter or in a foster home. Volunteers and foster homes are always desperately needed.

Empowering the community, through education, (children, as well as adults) to be responsible animal advocates.
