Areas Second Chance Pet Rescue Serves

We serve Northern California including Chico, Redding and everywhere in between. We have also adopted to people in the Bay Area, Sacramento, Tahoe, Washington and Oregon.

Second Chance Pet Rescue's Adoption Process

Adoption fees range between $50 and $150, depending on the age and size of the dog. Spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, flea treatment, dewormer, and microchip are all included.

Prospective adopters must agree to a home visit, have secure fencing and allow their dog to sleep inside at night. Those coming from out of town may submit a vet reference in place of a home visit. All renters need landlord approval.

If you already have a dog or two, they must be spayed/neutered and brought to the shelter for a meet and greet. Homes that already have more than two dogs, or any unaltered dogs, will not be considered.

Exceptions to these rules may be made in special circumstances.
