City of Norco Animal Shelter

The City of Norco Animal Control Division operates an animal shelter for housing stray animals. Animal Control is also responsible for insuring rabies control by providing dog licensing and picking up stray dogs. Animal Control is also responsible for enforcing animal-related Ordinances in the City of Norco. Many dogs and cats, puppies and kittens are not claimed by their owners each year and become available for adoption.

All dogs and cats will be spayed or neutered prior to going home with their adoptive family. We do not take "holds", "deposits", or "wait lists" for any animal. Adoptable dogs and cats are available by lottery, one hour after the shelter opens. Please contact the shelter at (951) 737-8972 for more details
