.We serve primarily East and Mid Tenn plus helping as many animals as we can find room for from surrounding states.
We adopt both locally and out of state depending on the particular situation and how feasible it is to verify the appropriateness of the adopter and safely getting the animal transported.

We charge an adoption fee to defray some of the costs of medical care for the animals. We require all potential adopters to fill out an application. We also reserve the right to do a home visit before releasing a dog for adoption.

About Tennessee Pekingese Rescue

We provide safe, loving foster care for as many "in-need" Pekingese dogs as we can find room for. They are evaluated both physically and mentally and provided with spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, heartworm tests. Other medical care is provided as needed.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
