Rescue Me Purebred K9 Rescue

Our rescued dogs reside at the homes of wonderful volunteers called Foster Families. They are all over Central New York. While there, they get love, nutrition, and the vet care they need.
We do what we can with what we have. We run strickly on our adoption fees and a few donations. We do not receive any grants or funding.
We started as just a few ladies who loved dogs and hated to see the dogs in shelters die needlessly. It has branched out from there with many volunteers and foster families. We not only pull dogs from shelters and/or bad situations but help individuals/families by helping to place their dogs so they never see a shelter environment.
The reward of placing a wonderful dog in a family is overwhelming. :)
We are in need of volunteers, both with help on the phone, paperwork, more hands at Pet Expos.... But most Importantly... WE NEED FOSTER HOMES!!! The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we can save!!

Rescue FAQs

As a Private Rescue Organization... We do not have a shelter. Appointments will be made after an application is approved for a visitation. Final approval is during or after a visitation.
We like our dogs to stay closer to home, but we will adopt to surrounding states and Canada. However, we do not provide transportation nor delivery of dogs. Which of course means, you must come to us.

Additional adoption info

We have an Adoption Application and Contract that must be signed. Please email for the application.
Our fees vary depending on the dog in question. Puppies under 6 months of age are $200 ($250 for purebred), wormed and up to date on shots according to what they needed. A spay/neuter contract is in force as the pup needs to be fixed by 7 months of age. A $50 refund is then sent to adopter unless they wish to donate it back to us.
All dogs over age 6 months are $150 ($200 for purebred). They are already fixed, up to date on shots,de-wormed/flied and heartworm tested.
Our senior dogs are typically $50-$100 depending on what was needed to be done.
Rescue dogs must be returned to the rescue if unable to keep.
Please be patient with us. We are a small organization with families, jobs and our own lives to handle on top of rescuing dogs and placing them in new forever homes. Applications could be a day to over a week.
We do not operate as first come first serve. We truly want the best homes for our furbabies.
