Additional adoption info

Everyone is required to sign a contract stating they will keep this animal in a safe invironment, keep it up to date on shots, rabies etc. We also can help get your animals spay/neutered. Our adoption fee is $40 dollars, for most dogs, all small dogs that will be 15 pounds and smaller when full grown will be $50 dollars, due to the fact they are hard to gey in our area and when listed our bigger dogs, even if they are puppies poeple are not interestd in seeing;. Extra for spay/neuter depending on the route you wish to go. All puppies are given the best of treatment and have had their 1st and 2cnd shots as well as wormers and health certifcates for travel if needed. Many that come in are very sick from neglect, abuse and some mange or have coccidia, which is very treatable, they have been starved and have worms. So there are lots of costs for them involved to get them well. All are socialized with older dogs, other people and small children, to ensure they are ready for adoption, before they go to their permanet home. Most are being Crate trained as well. If you break this contract, which says you will give the dog the normal attention medically and physically involved and not chained or left to be able to get killed on the highway, we have the right to take all measures to get this animal returned to us.

About San-Chris Rescue Foster and Adoption Organization

We are a group of very few who foster and adopt out dogs, mainly puppies. San chris is over 28 years old and was doormant for 4 years. Now we have reopened the doors with new people running it and have since april of this year adopted 90 puppies. We don't have a shelter in our county yet so its very Important that san-chris was reopened. The lady who ran it did so all these years with her own income and now is 80 years old. Her farm was the shelter for our county. She still has many dogs mostly old and cats that were not adoptable and will live their life out on her farm. My husband and I when we moved to this county was very disturbed about all the dogs and cats just allowed to run around. Many starved, abused, neglected. So we contacted this lady and now we are the best of friends helping her with her animals and of course we have always many puppies at our place for adoption. These puppies are brought back to health and resocialized. San-Chris is in desperate need of donations to help in the costs of keeping our organization going. We are trying to get a grant to get our 501c3 so we will be tax deductable for those who donate, as before the lady who had it ran it soley on her on income which she exhauted during those 28 to 30 yrs. If you can make a donation please contact us for bank details or you can donate money to our vet as we have alot of vet bills with these babies.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
