Adoptable Animal Rescue Force - AARF's Adoption Process

Our adoption fee is $300 for puppies 6 months or younger and $250 for adult dogs. We do require you fill out an adoption contract should you decide to make one of our awesome dogs part of your family.

About Adoptable Animal Rescue Force - AARF

Adoptable Animal Rescue Force (AARF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity organization run entirely by volunteers. We are dedicated to finding homes for homeless dogs in the Pikes Peak region and beyond. We work with neighboring states to rescue dogs in danger of being euthanized in high-kill shelters. We are committed to being a no-kill rescue working to serve our community and the dogs in it. AARF has been finding homes for homeless dogs for over 21 years.

Come Meet Adoptable Animal Rescue Force - AARF's Pets

Normally, you can find us (and great dogs) at the PetSmart at 2965 New Center Point, Colorado Springs, CO 80922. That’s Constitution and Powers in Colorado Springs every Saturday, 11:00am-2:00pm. Weather permitting! Adoptions can also be made by contacting us to arrange a "meet and greet" with any dog we have. We're happy to meet you at Tumbleweed Country Kennels in Fountain.

Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
