Areas Small Dog Placement Program Serves

Welcome to Small Dog Placement Program. We always have beautiful, small dogs available for placement. We are located in the Riverside and Corona area.

Small Dog Placement Program's Adoption Process

Any special arrangements to meet a dog will only be considered if a telephone interview reveals we have a possible perfect dog and family match.

If interested in one of our dogs available for placement your "application for placement" must be approved by our "Board of Directors." To start the approval process you will be asked to make an appointment to come fill out an "application for placement" have an interview with our placement manager (all family & household members will have to be interviewed before the placement is complete) and a mandatory home check. WE DO NOT PLACE OUT OF STATE. Southern California only.

We do everything possible within our budget and our expertise to insure you will be satisfied with the dog you choose. We always advise the prospective caretaker of any known health or temperament problems the dog may have. Your satisfaction is important to us.

For any additional information on our dogs, please call Sheila at (951) 681-4078. Thank you for visiting our site.

About Small Dog Placement Program

These precious dogs are rescue dogs and have been abandoned by their previous owners. We are very dedicated in finding them the very best in a forever home.

We do not place dogs in homes with a swimming pool, pond, or spa; or children under eight years of age. Yards must have a minimum four foot fence. Some dogs may even require a taller fence.

We cannot guarantee the dog you are interested in will continue to be housebroken. Small dogs always seem to be unpredictable when placed in a different environment, with new noises, a new feeding schedule, with different routines and people, etc. If you are adamant that the dog be completely house trained/potty trained and would not tolerate any accident before or after a 30-day period and are not willing to make a commitment to work with the dog, please look elsewhere for a dog.

Our dogs are veterinarian checked, altered, microchipped, and current on DHLPP and Rabies vaccines.

If the placement doesn't work out or circumstances occur and the "Placement Caretaker" can no longer care for the dog, the dog must be returned to Small Dog Placement Program. The "Placement Caretaker" does not have the option to give the dog to anyone or another organization. The dog must be returned to S.D.P.P.

We our a non-profit, registered charity, and your tax deductible donations are very important to us. We have no paid staff.

We guarantee the temperament of our little ones and our policy is to always welcome them back if the placement doesn't work out for any reason.

Come Meet Small Dog Placement Program's Pets

We do not have a facility. Our dogs are not in a boarding kennel environment. In order for us to match them to a prospective home our dogs are fostered in private home to be observed for temperament and any special needs they may have, and of course, we spoil and pamper them. If you don't want a spoiled, pampered dog, again, you need to look elsewhere for a dog.
