Natalie’s Second Chance Dog Shelter's Adoption Process

1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Visit us during our open adoption hours

2. Meet the Pet

After you have found your perfect pet you can meet them! Everyone must fill out a volunteer form before interacting with a dog.

3. Submit Application

Our application can be found online or filled out at our facility during open adoption hours.

4. Approve Application

Approval can take 24hrs to 2 weeks depending on how many applications the dog already has.

5. Home Check

We do not do home checks for all of our dogs but most we do. We do not look for cleanliness but for general safety for the dog.

6. Sign Adoption Contract

Decide if you want to do a 2 week trial or straight up adopt. Pay the full adoption fee.

7. Take the Pet Home

If desired or needed you can take home a collar, leash, toys, food for a few days, and a tag.

Our adoption fee is generally $150 for adult dogs and 250 for puppies. (However, fees can vary, depending on the dog and medical expenses.) Adoption fee includes spay or neuter most vaccines, and microchipping.
