Falcon’s Refugee for Wayward Horse’s, would like to take the time to introduce ourselves to you. Founded in Indiana in November of 2008 and relocated to Oklahoma during the summer of 2009. Falcon’s is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit corporation, which means all of your contributions to the rescue are tax deductable to the amount allowable by law.
What is it we do here at Falcon’s? Falcon’s is an equine rescue with a direct emphasis on rehabilitation, retraining, and placement of unwanted, abused, neglected, or injured equines. All of these efforts are supported by contributions from businesses, friends of the rescue, and other charity organizations.
We here also, all too well understand the hard economic times the world is in at the present, understanding this but still needing your support we have created funding projects that are not simply the normal “write us a check”, they combine your contributions, which are tax deductable, to the extent the law allows with simple yet effective advertising. Falcon’s web page generates traffic, the rescue facility itself generates traffic, and the events we either sponsor at the rescue or the expo’s we exhibit at to further the rescue effort generates traffic, more visibility per dollar donated than most other times.
Please take the time to review the pages before you, than make the positive decision to support our rescue. In advance we would like to tell you “thank you”.

1. Sign Sponsorship/ Business Membership, this is a three foot by four foot metal sign that will hang on our fencing around the rescue for anyone who visits to see. Included in this donation is a link on our web page to your web page, in the event you don’t have a web page we can help you build one for an additional donation. A certificate saying you are the proud sponsor of the rescue. Invitation to the summer cookout, with hot dogs, hamburgers, and soft drinks for four. Your name listed in our quarterly news letter under the sponsor heading. Discounts to all events that the rescue sponsors. Your name will be listed on our sign at all expo’s as a sponsor, in addition we will be happy to display your business card on our cork board for people to take one at all expos also. All this for a donation of $300.00, this sign sponsorship is for one calendar year, at the end of the year, you may renew your sign and all that comes with it, or you may take your sign to display at your business.

2. Stall door front Sponsor: This is the same concept as the fence sign, however it is a brass plaque displayed on the front of the stall of one of our rescue horses. Although it is smaller than the fence sign it will still be highly visible. Your name will be listed on our sign at all expo’s as a sponsor, in addition we will be happy to display your business card on our cork board for people to take one at all expos. 3. Rescue membership: Becoming a member of the rescue is one of the most vital fund raising tools we have, not just from the funds it generates but the people it allows us to get view points from. Being a member allows for you to be included in the board meetings, with the exception of executive meetings. You get to express ideas, concepts, concerns, and share in the building of the recue itself. Included in the rescue membership is no application fee when you find that one of a kind equine that touches your heart. Special hours to view available horses for adoption. Invitation to the summer cookout mentioned above. If you have a horse that you need to sell that is not a business sale for you, we will post them on the web page with pictures for 60 days. Discounts on all events sponsored by the rescue. Use of the indoor arena at a discounted rate. All of this for a family is $50.00 donation.

4. Kori Johnson, our event and fund raising director has offered up her business as a fundraising project. Kori is a consultant for Scentsy Candles. All details are on our web page about this event, please take a look at this exciting opportunity to get a great smelling candle and help us along the way.

Okay, so now you are going to ask just what are you going to do with these funds you are raising? Some of them will go to needed fence repair, as well as other maintenance items around the rescue.
Most of it will go to the day to day running of the rescue, including feed, hay, Veterinary care, Farrier care, Chiropractor care, utility bills to the barns and some will be put aside so that the next time we get a call from someone who is desperate and needs a horse taken care of we can say yes instead of no we can’t cover the cost. This may seem a harsh thing to say, but too many times rescue’s get in over their heads with too many horses and not enough funds to care for them. Our goal is to operate under smart business principles, we would like to act from our hearts alone, yes, however, if we fail at our rescue efforts, which many rescues do, than the horses in our care already would then need to be rescued.
The bigger facility means we need to be prepared to handle more horses. Having the funds already in place to care for additional horses during these hard economic times is essential to our success.
Please take the time to view our web page at www.falconshavenforhorses.org it will tell you a little more details about us. If you have any questions please feel free to email me, Marieewan@falconshavenforhorses.org or call 317-460-4713 or 918-504-7067

Sincerely,

Falcons Refguee For Wayward Horses, inc's adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Skiatook, OK.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
