Areas Michigan Humane - Westland Serves

Michigan Humane serves the entire Metropolitan Detroit area. We have four animal care centers in Wayne, Oakland and Livingston counties, all of which offer full-service adoptions and veterinary care. We also have offsite adoption locations in PetSmart stores and Petco in Sterling Heights. Our adoption program is supported by providing individualized treatment and care to hundreds of animals.

6. Sign Adoption Contract

7. Pay Fee

We have a simple adoption application and approval process. Our adoption fees vary by animal, but generally include neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, behavior and health assessments, and health insurance. In addition, all adopters have free access to our Adopter Support program for assistance with health or behavior issues that may arise.

Michigan Humane is the oldest and largest animal welfare organization in Michigan, taking in approximately 35,000 animals per year. We have four animal care centers in the Metro area including locations in Detroit, Westland, Rochester Hills and Howell, as well as cat adoption centers in PetSmart stores in several locations and an adoption center at Petco in Sterling Heights.
