Michele's Cats is the Palm Springs Chapter of Tender Loving Critters Animal Rescue that is based in Banning
We are a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) and we go to city and county shelters, and get animals, as well as help private people when we can, and we also are very committed to the Community Cats
Michele's Cats has been feeding/spaying/neutering (TNR)
Community Cats for 15 years, as well as capturing the kittens we can. Which we then spay/neuter and tame and put up for adoption.
We are at Petsmart in Palm Desert on Monterey, in the Walmart center, sat and Sunday's,
Saturday 11-4 and Sunday 2-6 ,if these hours do not work for you, please reach out to us and we will accommodate you.
Please contact Michele 760 567 0768, we do not have any volunteer help at the store, and are actively seeking someone who can help us for a few hours either or both days, 1 to 5 or 6 or however long you can stay for.
Helping to set up is the key, for sure, as well as talking to possible parents, interacting with the kitties is what we need.
We are always looking for people to help foster, we do not have a building, the only way we can save the little creatures is when kind people open up their homes (temporarily) until furrever homes can be found.
You choose what you want to foster - Adult cat, kitten or kittens,
We help you every step of the way and will always be available by phone or email.

We adopt to people that live in the desert, high desert, and in between.
Our homes are all cage free, after a short isolation period, to access temperament, and health issues, except for wee little ones that must be caged comfortably for a while, until old enough to be free in our homes

We require that our cats be indoor only, and that our dogs have a safe enclosed back yard
We do not adopt out kittens or puppies to homes with toddlers, older children are fine.
All our animals are professionally dewormed, current on vacs,
spayed/ neutered, and MOST are microchipped.
All our our animals are healthy as far as the eye can see, and they get vet checks, also

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
