St. Francis Animal Protection Society's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

To be considered for one of our adoptable animals, you must first submit an application at stfrancisanimal.org.

2. Meet the Pet

If it's a good match, we'll set up a meet and greet.

3. Pay Fee

If it's love at first sight and all agree it's a good match, we'll proceed with adoption. We require a tax-deductible adoption donation.

4. Sign Adoption Contract

We'll make the adoption official with a signed adoption agreement.

5. Take the Pet Home

This is the best part of the process. We'll coordinate with you to confirm details for "homecoming".

We may require a home check as part of the adoption process.

ADOPTION FEES

All our adoption fees are tax deductible, and include the cost of spay/neuter, microchipping, and vaccinations:

Kittens under 6 months old - $150 (2 kittens for $250)
Cats - $100
Dogs - $350
Puppies under 6 months old - $450

About St. Francis Animal Protection Society

A Northern California nonprofit founded in 1971, we're a small, but mighty group of volunteers who bring help, hope, and healing to at-risk animals-- from shelter cats and dogs to strays, ferals and displaced pets in need of a new place to call home.

We approach rescue with an open heart, an open mind, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Together, we engage, educate, and empower our community in the fight against overpopulation, cruelty, and neglect.

Come Meet St. Francis Animal Protection Society's Pets

We don't have a physical facility -- all our adoptable animals are loved to perfection in foster homes until they make a love connection.
