Areas Furever Angels Animal Rescue of Charlotte serves

Furever Angels Animal Rescue is a group of volunteer dog lovers whose mission is to rescue,
provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. Whenever
possible we also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in
their homes with their owners. We are located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

OUR ADOPTION POLICIES
1.) All potential adopters will be required to fill out an application and have a home visit prior to adoption. We work
hard at placing all of our rescued animals in the best suitable home possible. We want to ensure the absolute best
fit to ensure these sweet babies will be adopted to their forever home and will never have to worry about being
homeless again.

2.) All of our rescue animals are fully vetted as well as spayed and neutered at the time of adoption unless there is a
medical reason or they are too young to be spayed or neutered at the time, in which a spay/neuter contract will
have to be signed. We would like our potential adopters to understand the severe pet overpopulation that is
present in our state and want all pet owners to be responsible in spaying and neutering their pets. Therefore it is
our policy not to adopt to families that have unaltered pets. Our hearts ache for all the homeless animals including
litters and litters of puppies and kittens that get killed in these shelters every day, many by being gassed to death.
We try to save the owner surrendered animals because they are the first to be killed, usually on the same day they
are surrendered. Unfortunately we can not save them all and there are only a very few lucky ones to make it out
alive.

3.) In general, we do require a fence for dogs unless there are special circumstances such as the dog being older,
more laid back, couch potato, etc. There may be other special circumstances as well such as having a dog park next
door or wanting a running or hiking partner. We understand that most dogs have a lot of energy and need enough
exercise to release that energy. We also want the dog to have a safe place to play in which a fenced yard is most
appropriate. We do not accept invisible fencing as a suitable option for various reasons. If there is a question about
whether a fence is required for a particular dog, please contact the person listed as the contact.

4.) All adopters must be a minimum of 23 years old.

5.) Due to limited resources, out of state adopters are required to travel to our location and are required to have a
home visit completed prior to coming to meet us.

Furever Angels Animal Rescue of Charlotte's adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Charlotte, NC.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
