Areas The Kitten Whisperer serves
The Kitten Whisperer is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering rescue kittens and cats and preparing them for adoption. We specialize in fostering kittens and their mothers, and we surround them with love. Our kittens and cats learn to be "lap cats" and part of a family. Each adoptee comes with a medical record, a cat care guide, his or her favorite toys, and a week's worth of the food he or she has been eating. Each is healthy, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped at the time of adoption. Our kittens and cats are adopted by people throughout the entire San Francisco Bay Area, including families as far north as Marin and Sonoma and as far south as Santa Cruz.

Additional adoption info
We ask you to fill out an adoption application online using this form (please copy and paste if the link does not click through for you):
https://forms.gle/TUAeqjB4PzBHGWia7
We can email you the application if you request one from us at thekittenwhisperer1@gmail.com Once you've filled out the application, we can set up time for you to meet our kittens and cats, and we can usually find a time soon. We require a signed adoption contract before you adopt, and we drop off all of our kittens and cats ourselves. We provide adopters with a week's supply of the food that the kittens or cats have been eating, their favorite toys, a cat care handbook, and a complete medical history including the neuter/spay certificate and proof of vaccinations. Our adoption fee is $50 for a cat and $75 for one kitten OR for two kittens. It's $75 for two kittens because it's better for kittens to be adopted in pairs, but we do not require that kittens are adopted in pairs.

Find a pet to adopt
Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Stanford, CA.
Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.
What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
