Upon approval of an adoption application, a legally binding adoption contract is signed by the applicant agreeing to specific terms of care for the dog, and specific situations when the adoptive family must contact NBGR after the adoption.

National Brussels Griffon Rescue, Inc. maintains a nation wide network of volunteer foster homes who care for our rescued Brussels Griffons until their perfect forever home is found.

National Brussels Griffon Rescue, Inc., as well as most rescues ask for an adoption donation. NBGR donations can range between $300 and $500 dollars, depending on the age, health and emotional condition of the dog. We do offer reduced suggested donations for older or special needs animals.

Your adoption donation is tax deductible. National Brussels Griffon Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 not for profit rescue organization.

Adoption donations are deposited into our general bank account, and used to cover veterinary treatment as well as general expenses for any Griff coming into our rescue program.

All National Brussels Griffon Rescue's officers, rescue coordinators, and foster families are volunteers, and are not paid for their time or services.

We do not place our adoptable Griffs in forever homes on a "first come-first serve basis". Each of our rescued Griffs have individual needs, activity levels and may require certain lifestyles, which our volunteer foster home families become intimately familiar with.

If an adoption application is submitted for a particular Griff which does not appear to be a compatible match for the Griff or the hopeful family, the adoption application is placed in the available applicants section of our data base until the ideal match is found for the family's needs, lifestyle and activity level, and of course the perfect match is found for one of our very deserving rescued Griffs.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Overland, KS.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
