A Miami, FL 33143 rescue helping to find loving homes for rabbits.
1 - 2 of 2 Adoptable Pets at This Shelter
We are a chapter of the National House Rabbit Society (www.rabbit.org), and serve primarily Miami-Dade County. We cooperate with rabbit rescue groups in other Florida counties needing help with rescues and adoptions.
H.A.R.E.'s mission is to educate the public about rabbits as indoor companion animals as worthy of long-term commitment as a dog or cat, and to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, neglected domestic rabbits into forever homes.
We also rescue and rehabilitate wild rabbit species (cottontails and hares), and release native species to the localities where they were rescued. Exotic wild lagomorph species are given permanent sanctuary in a natural setting at H.A.R.E.
Our "shelter" is a private home, so rabbit visits are by appointment only. Please email us at rabbit@bio.miami.edu to set up an appointment.
