A Dog's Place Rescue

We are a small group, dedicated to saving lives of dogs from the south where far too often, these precious souls are treated like yesterday's garbage. Once the dogs arrive they are placed in a foster home where they recieve, sometimes for the first time, the love and guidance that they need.

Prior to coming to us the dogs are temperment tested, vetted, spayed/neutered, given necessary shots, mmmicro-chipped and hear tworm tested.

Our adoption fee is $300.00 which we think is very reasonable considering all that is included.

Perhaps the most important thing we should tell you is that it is our goal to find you lifetime love and companionship and to that end, should you have any questions or issuesalong the way just give us a call and we will do everything in our power to help. We will NOT turn on our back on you. That would not be fair to you or the dog!

One thing we do highly recommend is that you enroll your dog in a training class at a place such as Petco or Petsmart. This is such a great thing for both of you. It serves to help socialize your dog, it teaches you positive mehtods to train your new friend and it is also a wonderful way to bond with your new family member.

We have wonderful dogs available and we look forward to finding you your new best friend!

Additional adoption info

We strive to make the adoption experience a pleasant one. We have a very simple written application, an interview with the prospective adopter and a home visit. I wish to assure you here that the home visit is in no way a test of cleanliness. This is NOT a white glove test. This is aimed to be very informal and just a way to point out any pints that may be dangerous to the dog, So far, I have never turned ANYONE down on the basis of a home visit and there was only one instanc where i needed to make some suggestions but all went well.
