Areas Bongo's Buddies Rescue Serves

We are a small rescue specializing in Terriers - Cairn, Norwich, West Highland, Yorkshire, and Scottish. Our dogs are in foster homes and not available for visits unless prior arrangements are made.

Bongo's Buddies Rescue's Adoption Process

1. Submit Application

2. Approve Application

3. Interview

4. Meet the Pet

5. Home Check

6. Sign Adoption Contract

7. Pay Fee

Upon receiving a completed application, we will contact your two personal references plus your veterinarian, and then schedule a home safety visit with you. We do have all adopters sign an adoption contract and ask for an adoption donation (dependent on the age of the dog) to help defray the costs of vetting the dogs in our care. We prefer to not place our dogs in homes where there are children under the age of 10. You must be able to pick up your dog - we do not use commercial transportation methods.

About Bongo's Buddies Rescue

We have seen the need to provide more foster home environments for dogs needing a second chance, so our rescue was just founded at the beginning of 2016. We welcome donations to help with the care of our foster dogs, and we also welcome local people interested in fostering or helping us in any way to fill out the volunteer application.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
