3. Home Check

4. Meet the Pet

5. Sign Adoption Contract

Please visit https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adopt for more information on our adoption fees.

7. Take the Pet Home

To adopt one of our dogs, please fill out an application at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/dog-adoption. Although we do our best to reply to all inquiries within 72 hours, please remember we are a 100% volunteer based organization, and many of us have full time jobs outside of rescue. We appreciate your patience.

If after reviewing your application, we think it may be a potential fit, a Fetch & Releash volunteer will contact you to set up a time to speak over the phone. The phone call usually takes about 30-45 minutes. Our priority is to ensure the fit is right for both you and the dog, so feel free to ask as many questions as you would like! After the phone interview, we will reach out to your personal and veterinarian references (if applicable), and your landlord (if applicable). A Fetch & Releash volunteer will also contact you to arrange a home visit.

After the phone interview, home visit & reference check, you will then be granted a private meet and greet with the dog.

The adoption committee will then review your completed application and make a final decision.

About Fetch & Releash

We at Fetch & Releash believe every dog deserves a second chance regardless of age, breed, background, health and/or behavioural issues. Through our network of volunteers, foster homes, trainers, and veterinarians, we work hard to find our dogs the loving forever home they deserve.

Fetch & Releash was established in 2016 with a mission of saving homeless dogs. We are 100% volunteer run.

Our dogs come from a variety of different situations and locations such as pounds/shelters, strays, and surrendered pets - both locally and abroad. We provide our dogs with the best care and a chance to find their forever homes by placing them with loving and caring volunteer foster parents. In order to prevent further over-population, all pets are spayed or neutered, age and health permitting.

As a completely volunteer-based organization, we are only able to find our pets their forever homes with the help of our volunteers and donors. Visit fetchandreleash.ca to learn more about volunteering, fostering or donating.

Come Meet Fetch & Releash's Pets

Fetch & Releash is a 100% foster based rescue. To minimize the disruption to the lives of the dogs and our foster families, and to ensure their safety, only applicants that have completed the phone screen portion of the adoption process will be granted a private meet and greet with the dog. Please visit fetchandreleash.ca/faq to learn more about our adoption processes.
