Our adoption process involves a thorough personal interview and home visit and requires a reference from your Vet. All of our dogs will be placed as indoor pets with the expectation that they will continue to receive companionship and shelter and health care for the duration of their lives. Our adoption fee is $200.00. We value our dogs with the expectations that others will also.

High Tails Animal Sanctuary is a rescue shelter designed to provide a safe haven for older large dogs and those whom cross our path in life. We house train our dogs by providing direct human companionship in a pack setting and encourage them with affection and stimulating exercise to be the best dogs they can be. It is our mission to enrich both the lives of our dogs and ourselves by providing a safe and compassionate .environment. We love our dogs so that they can share that passion with others. .

Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
