About First Responders Animal ResQ

A little about us…First Responders Animal ResQ came to fruition due to a need to help local dogs in our area.
We are located in the East Bay in Northern California and our mission is to make a difference for dogs in our community.
First Responders receives daily contact or requests regarding a dog(s) in need! Sometime it can be hard, because we simply can’t save every dog.
We are a 501(c)(3), which means we are a non profit organization. All of our time is volunteer based. In other words, we could not do what we do without your support.
We appreciate all donations, either financial, pet supplies, and especially dog food.
Each of our dogs come into our rescue in some sort of need. We spay/ neuter all our dogs, vaccinate, chip, provide medical and most of all, we love them.
We are a small entity, but we have a lot of heart. We nurture our dogs as well as the families, who are our potential adopters.
Our philosophy is to surround all of our families and dogs with an environment that will make the transition as easy as possible.

We offer resources, solutions as well as support. We facilitate a successful adoption for both the adopter and our wonderful dogs.
Our belief, is every dog has a special person and every person has that special dog. Our goal is to help with that love connection! We are a professional match makers!💕
We would not be able to do a fraction of what we do with out our fosters!
We are always looking for fun, confident, social people who love dogs. We provide all of our fosters with supplies, resources and support in order for them to focus on loving our rescues!

First Responders Animal ResQ's adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Discovery Bay, CA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
