Additional adoption info
Admiral's Advocacy is not a rescue, but rather a support organization. Pet parents who can no longer keep their pets, for the most part, do not want to surrender them to a shelter, but are not able to find a rescue that has space to take their animal in. We want to close that gap and assist with rehoming. Your pet remains yours, and lives with you, until a new home is found. Using the Adopt-a-Pet rehoming platform, we will offer guidance, and a shoulder to lean on, so that the rehoming process goes smoothly for you, your pet, and their new owners. Our organization is a judgement free zone, and you will be met with compassion and understanding. We know you want the best for your pet, and we want to make sure the outcome is what you want it to be.
In order to participate in our program, your pet must be spay/neutered and up to date on vaccines. If your pet is not altered, or is not UTD, we can refer you to a lower cost vet who can provide those services for a reasonable price.

About Admiral's Advocacy
Admiral's Advocacy is a support organization that was formed for two reasons:
1. To provide enrichment items for animals in shelters that don't have the budget to purchase them.
2. To offer support and guidance to pet parents who don't know who else to ask.
Our goal in supporting pet owners is for you to be able to keep your pet. On our website you can find resources such as behavior counseling referrals, restriction free housing, lower cost vets, and restriction free insurance companies. As a last resort, we will assist with rehoming your pet, if we are unable to come up with a solution to your problem that requires you to give him or her up.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.
What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
