Adoption fees are $65 and include spay or neuter and rabies vaccination. This is the minimum required by the State of Georgia. However, we encourage you to have your pets fully vaccinated as soon as possible. If additional vetting is desired, this can often be worked out with our vet office.

FOBAS is a group of volunteers formed to save as many dogs and cats in our city-run pound. We began in late 2015, turning death row into a place of hope. We are the only hope many of these animals have since our area is extremely rural and poor. Blakely Animal Control is the only animal control at all in several counties. However, it is small and is designed to serve only the City of Blakely, Georgia.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
