About Forgotten Tails Rescue, Inc.

Forgotten Tails Rescue, Inc. is an all-volunteer rescue with a focus on rescuing dogs and cats with dire medical needs from kill-shelters who would otherwise be euthanized. We rescue dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes, most of which are mixed and not purebreds. We provide them medical care/treatment and then work diligently to find the dogs and cats loving and permanent homes for adoption.

Our non-profit organization partners with local shelters in addition to rescuing strays and displaced/abused/neglected dogs and cats. Saving Paws Rescue of Florida, Inc. is considered a rescue of last resort. We believe all dogs and cats desire a chance to be loved and to have a happy home.

Come Meet Forgotten Tails Rescue, Inc.'s Pets

Pets in our rescue are available at publicly-advertised events and/or by appointment. We visit the homes of all potential dog adopters and some times those of cat adopters if we feel there is a need. Our primary goal is to ensure the dogs and cats will be good fits in the homes, that the home is safe, and compatible for the prospective adoptees. Our rescue offers a 30-day foster-to-adopt program. Once the criminal background check and home visit are completed, the dog or cat can be fostered for 30 days. At the end of 30 days (or sooner), the pet can either be returned or the adopter can opt for permanent adoption. At that time, the adoption application is completed and the fee is paid.

We will be glad to make arrangements to meet you by appointment for you to get acquainted with the pets in our rescue. Thanks for your interest!
