My name is Toni and the volunteers here say I am a very sweet, friendly, lovable, energetic 3 year old young lady. I was very emaciated and in bad shape when I was found by my namesake. I am a very sweet, friendly dog. I want so much to have a loving family that enjoys playing together and having fun and that gives me lots of tummy rubs and petting. I love giving kisses to the volunteers who take care of me. I even help them put my halter on to go for walks. My favorite pastime is running and playing fetch when volunteers throw balls for me to chase in the play yard. I’m also content to play with my toys — especially the squeaky ones — by myself in my kennel. I’m very affectionate toward people (including kids 10+) and enjoy playing with other dogs, especially my boyfriends Luke and paraplegic rescue Walker that were here. I miss them but am hoping for a new new BFF soon. The volunteers at the shelter say I am very smart and easy to train, as I quickly learned to walk on leash as well as the “sit” and “down” commands. I weigh 47 lbs., am healthy, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and spayed. If interested in meeting me please, please email my friend Margaret at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 843-869-3869. I look forward to meeting you and your whole family including your other dogs. XOX Toni
We require a minimum adoption donation of $125 to $250 depending on the dog and the amount of money we have invested in vet care. Our application form asks adopters to certify that they have a fenced yard or that the pet will be kept indoors and that the pet will be maintained on heartworm and flea preventative and kept up to date on annual shots. The application also asks adopters to certify that they will ask Animal Lovers for assistance in rehoming the pet in the event they cannot keep it for some reason at any time in the future.
