My Story

This playful girl is Sharky. She is a 1 year old Jack Russel/Rater Terrier mix who weighs 12 lbs. Sharky was found at the OKC shelter with a huge wound in her side likely from a fence. She has been in a foster home healing the past month and now she is ready for a foster home.

Sharky loves loves loves to play. She enjoys playing with small dogs in her foster home but doesn't like playing with the big dogs. She would not be good with small critters like chinchillas (but then again she is a Rat Terrier so this is expected).

Sharky MUST have a playful small dog in her forever home. She must have a fenced yard and the yard must be fenced with a 6ft stockade fence. No exceptions will be made so please only apply if you have a small playful dog, a fenced yard, and a stockade fence. Sharky will not make a good apartment dog and would do best in a home with a fenced yard. She will also need a 6ft fence as she can jump a short fence.

Sharky is crate and house trained. She is used to a doggy door in her foster home.

Sharky is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her shots. Her adoption fee is $150.

If you would like to adopt Sharky and make her a part of your family, please contact ForeverYoursOKC@gmail.com.

Adoption Process

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veternarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.

We require an adoption application (http://www.adoptapet.com/forever-yours-dog-rescue/adoption-application/), a house check, and our adoption fee is $150.00.

If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet.
