My Story

Tohkubbi (“Tow-cubby” Choctaw name meaning Killer or Warrior hahaha) Solid Black Domestic Shorthair N/M approximate DOB 3.25.2019

Tohkubbi was picked up on a dusty county road in Pittsburg Co., he was skin and bones and very welcoming of a helping hand. Tohkubbi or “Kubbi” had thinning hair probably due to poor nutrition/starvation, stress and possibly intestinal parasites.

On the 2 ½ hr drive home Kubbi settled in and fell asleep on the console. He did great in the truck and was very talkative telling me all about his adventures, how hungry and thirsty and scared he was and how happy he was to see me and thanks for saving him. I think he’d make a great companion for a long haul truck driver.

Kubbi is harness and lease trained too!

Once home and fed, Kubbi proved to be a most affectionate boy and loves to lick you. Tohkubbi gets along well with other cats and dogs. He’s very mellow but can get a little mouthy when playing so maybe no small children and no rough play. I think that could easily turn the mouthing into biting but mostly he just likes to lay on you and purr while you stroke his, still thin but filling in, beautiful black coat. He’s best buds with my other foster Sinclair.

Tohkubbi is neutered, utd on vaccinations, de-wormed and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $75. If you would like to adopt about Tohkubbi and his buddy Sinclair together the adoption fee for both is $125. If interested in adoption, please contact their foster Lori Bartel at onewomanrescue@gmail.com or via facebook at www.facebook.com/lori.bartel.3

INDOOR ONLY and NO DECLAWING ALLOWED.

Please take your newly adopted family member in to meet your veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption, get him/her a thorough physical and give your family vet a copy of his/her vaccination records with micro-chip number and a copy of the adoption contract for their records and so they can schedule annual checkups.

Adoption Process

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veternarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.

We require an adoption application (http://www.adoptapet.com/forever-yours-dog-rescue/adoption-application/), a house check, and our adoption fee is $150.00.

If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet.
