Paws for Life Rescue is joining Best Friends Animal Society’s nationwide adoption promotion from August 1 to 31. All adult cats and dogs can join your family for just $20 and that fee includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, testing, microchip and 60 days of free pet insurance. Paws for Life Rescue is a member of Best Friends Animal Society’s *No More Homeless Pets Network.
“We rescue pets throughout southeast Michigan who, through no fault of their own, ended up homeless,” said Courtney Protz-Sanders, executive director at Paws for Life Rescue. “All they need is for that perfect someone to see their awesomeness. When you adopt, we can save even more. That is why we fight the good fight every day.”

About Paws for Life Rescue
Founded in 2007, Paws for Life Rescue is a 501(c)3, tax-exempt, non-profit animal welfare organization run by a group of hard-working, dedicated volunteers. PFL is an Adoption Guarantee organization that rescues homeless, neglected, abused and abandoned dogs, cats, puppies and kittens from overflowing shelters in Michigan. PFL does not believe that time or money are acceptable reasons to end a life. PFL uses a network of loving foster care homes where animals stay until their forever homes are found. PFL’s goal is to find the best homes possible for the homeless pets in our care. The organization focuses on humane legislation and education initiatives to permanently improve the lives, safety and future of companion animals in Michigan and surrounding areas. PFL has no paid staff and receives no government support. Every penny donated goes directly to the animals in our care.

Best Friends Animal Society®
Best Friends Animal Society is the only national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending the killing of dogs and cats in America’s shelters. A leader in the no-kill movement, Best Friends runs lifesaving programs in partnership with more than 1,800 rescue groups and shelters across the country; regional centers in New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Salt Lake City; and the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals. Founded in 1984, Best Friends has helped reduce the number of animals killed in shelters nationwide from 17 million per year to about two million. That means there are still nearly 5,500 dogs and cats killed every day in shelters, just because they don’t have safe places to call home. We are determined to get that number to zero by the year 2025. Working together with you, we will end the killing and Save Them All®. For more information, visit bestfriends.org.
