Adorable Mutt Alert!!! Hold onto your seats folks as this long eared, fuzzy faced adorable mutt is going to make you want to laugh out loud and then adopt him!
Little Ralphie is one of those dogs that we love to play guess the breed with. He most likely is a Schnauzer something, but that that something is we aren’t sure so we are going to say, Schnauzer/Cocker/Poodle/Wheaten/Cairn. But no matter what he is this 8 year old boy is for sure CUTE as heck!
Ralphie is an 8 year old playful and active boy who is happy, sweet, and loving to his people. He loves to sleep on his back with his ears flopped up, his front legs curled, and his mouth slightly open, a look of total contentment.
This cute boy came to Fuzzy Pawz after a stay in a shelter where he did not do well; he was covered in mats and didn’t want anyone to touch him. After a shave right down to his skin, some soft gentle words and a little bit of kindness Ralphie came out of his shell.
Ralphie is a bouncy boy who loves to run around and have a grand old time. And he loves people, he will follow you around to see if he can help with whatever you are doing; he loves to lay with you when you relax; but he is quick to flatten on the ground if a hand is raised and will run in fear when scolded. This boy needs a home that will be gentle and loving with him where he gets a ton of positive reinforcement and a home that will be patient with him as he learns to adjust to yet another household. Ralphie needs to go to a no children home as they appear to terrify him.
He is dog door trained but will piddle in the house if he does not have access to one; he is also not a big fan of the cold weather, especially after losing all his hair. Even putting a jacket on does not make him very excited to go outside and do his business. A dog door is a plus, if no dog door then you will need to continue on the housetraining that his foster mom is working on.
Ralphie does great around other dogs and he is fairly good around cats; if they don’t run he won’t chase. He does like to get right up in the cats face and smell them though so if you have a cat it will need to be pretty tolerant of that.
If you like to take car rides with your dog Ralphie is your boy; he loves to go and gets bummed when he doesn’t get to go along with you. He also walks well on a leash.
