Oh how to describe Whiskers? It’s hard to find the words that best capture this silly girl’s personality because the first thing that always comes to mind is the way she makes you LAUGH! She has the funniest mannerisms. Tough but tender-hearted. Perhaps not so much tough as having tons of bravado or chutzpah. That’s it – the girl has got boatloads of chutzpah :)
Whiskers doesn’t appear to be afraid of anyone or anything, until she is, for no apparent reason. This tiny cat will skitter into a new room acting like she owns the place and if a dog or much larger cat happens to be there she’ll just continue on her merry way without blinking or giving them the time of day. (To be honest, other cats don’t know quite what to make of Whiskers because she’s so un-cat-like. They watch her with fascination and bewilderment.) And yes, we said “skitter”, because that’s how Whiskers moves. She doesn’t have the smooth, flowing walk of most cats – she skitters along with small stiff steps, sometimes fast (often fast), sometimes slow. There’s really no other way to describe it. It’s adorably cute and you have to see it to believe it. And there’s nothing wrong with her, she’s just different :) So Whiskers will be doing her own thing, cruising around and all of a sudden she’ll stop dead then turn tail and take off like she’s seen a ghost. Scary bits of dust lit up by a sunny window perhaps? Or something that only Whiskers can see? :). Either way, she’ll have you in stitches laughing because while she is doing this she’s also making funny “pft, pft” noises – again totally unique to Whiskers. Ten minutes later you’ll look up because you hear skitter, skitter, pft, pft coming into the room - Whiskers resuming her adventure.
When Whiskers isn’t on an adventure she can be found snuggled up somewhere cozy. She’ll enjoy sitting on your lap when she feels like it and once she gets to know you. She also enjoys affection (but not in a high maintenance way) and will let you know when she’s had enough. And in case you’re wondering if she likes to play, the answer is YES. Whiskers has tons of fun chasing the red laser dot!
Quirky, funny, odd, sweet – these are some of the best words to describe Whiskers. We haven’t yet mentioned her incredibly soft fur and big, bright eyes on her too cute face but that will be apparent the moment you meet her. Whiskers would be happiest in an experienced, cat-savvy home. Although she mostly ignores other cats, she would prefer to be your one and only. With Whiskers in your life, you don’t need anyone else! If you’re looking for a cat that will make you laugh, keep you guessing, and make you fall in love then you simply must meet Whiskers!
