Max is just an absolutely stunningly handsome Boxer! He arrived to the shelter on 1/11 when his owners turned him in along with his sibling Mona (ID # 562920). The previous owners report that both dogs are good with kids and will make excellent family companions. Max is 3 years old and weighs 62 lbs. Unfortunately Max and Mona were not given their monthly preventatives and now have heartworms. Have no fear though, heartworms are treatable and you should discuss the different treatment options with your veterinarian. Max is current on his vaccines and neutered. He will be micro chipped upon adoption and can go home with you today! His ID # is 562923 and he can be found in run 878. Due to over crowding at the shelter, both are being kept in isolation until a kennel opens up on the adoption floor. Please let the front desk know you would like to see Mona and Max and they would be happy to help you. We would love to see Mona and Max adopted into the same home so they could stay together since they are a bonded pair, however it is not required and they can be adopted separately.
