Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, you fine folks! Ernie here. I was dumped at the kill shelter a few days before Christmas in 2013. My teeth were rotting/jagged, my mouth was swelling from infection, and my fur was eaten up by fleas. The folks here were full (as usual), but have a huge spot in their hearts for mistreated old JRT seniors like me, and Mama Donna decided to give me a special Christmas gift: The gift of life.
Little did she or the volunteer who picked me up know that I wasn’t alone. I was dumped with my brother, Bert, a big ‘ole lovable black Chow mix. The last thing they had room for was another large dog, but they couldn’t fathom breaking us up … and so they didn’t. We have since lived in our own kennels, though, and gotten used to being apart. So it’s not necessary that we be adopted together.
I am around 7-8 years old and just recovered from heartworm treatments (all negative now, baby!) and a good dental. I have one patch of fur that hasn’t grown back just yet, but otherwise? I’m an awesome, handsome, little man who will make a great addition to your family. I’m smart and easygoing, but still very much a lot of Terrier fun!
