Meet Denmark! Isn't he a handsome boy. He is a great size too. He seems too like everyone and everything. He already knows some basic commands like sit and lay down. He will nuzzle you for a good head scratch. He will rub up on your leg to let you know he wants some of your attention. Denmark loves human contact and will stare outside his kennel with his puppy dog eyes to get it. He is a shelter favorite because "he is a super sweet dog". He would fit in to almost any family whether you have children or if you are a senior. All welcome to apply for this great dog. Denmark just wants a place to call home and the love he deserves.
If you would like to adopt Denmark, please contact Brooke at doubledogbrooke@gmail.com
Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)
NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
