My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

While I may seem shy at first, we are going to get very close. I will always greet you and would love for us to snuggle on the couch. I was once an outdoor cat, and will show you my hunting prowess if you have a string around.

You probably can't tell yet, but I am the most easy-going of cats. It would be great if I could just sunbathe and get the occasional scratch behind the ears. And speaking of ears, I am sure you can see that one of mine is a little crumpled. That's because I had ear mites once and my owner could not take me to the vet, but I am healthy and doing just fine now. All that I ask is that you give me lots of affection, a little time to play, and some tasty treats.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and either come to an adoption event or arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
