My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louie is 1-2 year old, very attractive brindle male. Louie is very good natured and plays great with adults and older children. He's still learning to play with other dogs and smaller kids. He's scared of smaller things....cats, kids and little dogs and would rather play with a someone bigger. We don't know much about his past except that he was turned over to B.A.R.C. for placement by a local shelter partner when he was not adopted or reclaimed. Despite his unknown past, Louie seems as though he has been a house dog because he is housebroken and although he whines for a few minutes when first in the crate, he settles down and doesn't seem to mind it much. He spends his days eating, playing, napping, then doing it all over again and again. He does not bark at the door but barks and sings when he is ready to play. Louie LOVES tennis balls, ropes and squeaky toys, and they don't last long around him. He also LOVES to play catch. Louie is training to walk on the leash and has shown great recall. Louie would make an excellent only pet and would do best in a home with older children, if any. He loves to be loved and will love you back just as much if not more. Louie will be neutered on January 23 and be available for adoption January 30. Louie is being fostered by Ruba and Todd in the Greater Jacksonville area.
