My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This vibrant, energetic & lively 3 year old Pittie girl is Daisy! She is ready & waiting to embark on a wonderbull new journey with her future family. Knowing the day her new life begins will be picture perfect!

Daisy dreams of keeping an active lifestyle. Daily walks, romping in the yard, regular play sessions & any way to get her exercise will keep this pup happy & healthy. A true Tom Boy at heart she enjoys playing with the boys & doesn’t mind getting her paws dirty. Her silly antics will warm your heart & keep a smile on your face. Entertaining herself with the simple pleasures in life like an empty ordinary water bowl she pretends is a flying saucer! She definitely knows how to have a good time.

Although she is knowledgeable in some of her basic commands & has sit, paw & down well under her fur she would definitely benefit from further obedience training. Unaware of her strength, her excitement makes her a challenging walker. An easy harness, with some coaching will help correct this behavior. With the motivation of her favorite cookie & she’ll catch on in no time.

Although Daisy would love to have some play dates with another pup once in awhile, she prefers not to share her home with other furry animals of any kind. Due to her enthusiasm, rapid tails wags, frequent butt wiggles and size she would do best in an adult only home. Do have the ideal home for Daisy? Offer her your hand and she’ll forever give you her paw. Hurry to the shelter and meet our dazzling pup today!

Note: As with all of our dogs, we strongly recommend obedience classes for new owner and dog to create a life-long bond with the adopted dog based on trust, respect and rewarding training experiences. We are offering dog training classes through FMAS Wagtime Dog Training. You can check out more information at www.fmaswagtime.com. We can help you train practical skills you use every day with positive reinforcement training. Our shelter dogs are strays and we observe and assess their behavior at the shelter which may be somewhat different in a home environment. In addition dogs adopted from the Manchester Animal Shelter are spayed/neutered, microchipped and have received their Rabies and distemper vaccinations as well as other necessary medical care such as flea treatment. All dogs are also heartworm tested. Some prudent care such as heartworm medication is not provided at the shelter and should be taken care of at the earliest convenience upon adoption.
