My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

7/2014 Sophie is still actively looking for the right family..
5/14/14 Sophie is still waiting for her special family to come along. Could she be waiting for you?

4/20/14 Sophie is a great little dog that needs a little extra care because of her background. She is doing much better with her potty habits, her personality is very sweet and she shows well at our adoptions. Her companion Salem found a home. Could you be looking for a new companion in Sophie?
3/11/14 Sophie's coat is very pretty now. She is a little love and is happily learning the outdoors and using the pee pads. She weighs 5.5 lbs and is actively looking for an understanding family that would understand she needs guidance in the potty training area. Come meet her at our adoptions.
1/30/14 Meet Sophie and Salem. They came from Palm Beach County ACC and have a sad story. The dogs were confiscated from a hoarders home. They were found living in a plastic tub and in a hole under the floor. 10 small dogs ages 5-12 yrs. The dogs were discovered with the report of the owners death. Our little Sophie has no rear feet.. more than likely a birth defect but she was still used as a breeding machine. She is approximately 5-7 yrs of age and is currently being treated for dermatitis and or a skin infection courtesy of her living environment. She will be pretty in no time. She gets around fine on her semi formed rear pads. Her companion Salem is a handsome 3-5 yr old neutered male chi with deformities of rear legs/knees. His teeth aren't as pearly white as hers but he has teeth. He too has dermatitis that will clear up in no time with supplements, good food and TLC. We are hoping to raise funds to repair one of his legs so that he can get around better. His rear legs support him but running would be out of the question at this time. It is sad that is the only life they know. We are introducing them to the grass and a clean environment with lots of room to roam and smell the fresh air.Our pups are spayed or neutered, current on vaccines/deworming, microchipped and have flea/tick prevention applied.
Our adoption donation is $150.00-200.00 for adult dogs.. Adopting a puppy is a lifetime commitment. Are you ready for a new found friend? Please email bighearts4pawsrescue@yahoo.com
