My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet gal was left behind in a frozen snowy backyard without doghouse, food or water when her family loaded up the moving van and left her behind,
When her " family" was called by ACO (animal control officer) they said they didn't want her, she was too old. But thank God ACO picked her up after neighbors called...This abandoned angel came to us barely able to stand upright or walk on the snow or non-carpeted floors, severely underweight at only 40#, and her head barely raised...slumped over in horrible posture and dazed, seemingly in shock/grieving/confused...We have this sweetie in foster care now, and she has been on various prescriptions, and has been to vet 3 x's so far for exams, blood-panel, stool samples ect... she is on RX's and RX Food (Hills Science diet I/D cans and dry @ 3x's a day) as well as a few pricey nutritional / vitamin supplements to help with her intestinal and liver issues (that were caused by malnutrition/dehydration due to neglect-not being fed)...

PLEASE SHOW THIS SWEET GAL NOT ALL HUMANS ARE HEARTLESS, She is now recovering nicely in a good foster home with other dogs, she can finally stand a bit straighter, eats non RX food now, has zest for playing, enjoys walks and playing with her foster fur family/ and humans too.. Her foster family is amazed at how she has blossomed under their care. Our rescue doesn't put dogs in boarding or kennels, all our death row rescued dogs are in loving foster homes and receive lots of love, attention and get whatever care our vet recommends. Foxy is fixed, UTD on vaccinations, is romping and playing outdoors with her human and fur foster family and really has blossomed emotionally and physically. It breaks my heart to think some family could just leave her in frozen snow cold weather in a yard with no provisions or care if she lived or died...the dog has a wonderful gentle disposition, is housebroken, knows basic commands and is a very easy going sweet girl.

...Anyone who could move away and leave a senior sweet gal like this to fend for herself in a freezing yard with no shelter or provisions is despicable, let's show this sweetie love means not ignoring her needs...Let's show her what living with good vet care, good food, and a warm loving home is all about. Please apply to adopt- or just donate to help us continue to save/ help other dogs in need . Donate through our website's PayPal donate portal http://boxerRescueVT.tripod.com thanks! We require application, vet & reference check, in home visit and place dogs based on who best meets dogs needs, not first to apply is one who adopts. Our loyalty is to the dogs well-being for the rest of it's life. Thanks for wanting to rescue rather then buy a dog from a store or breeder.
